The Climate Crisis

The climate crisis is a problem for individuals,  for organisations and for states. Each has a role and a responsibility.  The first step to responding is to understand the problem, from its purely physical  origins -- the Greenhouse Effect-- to the efforts being made to deal with it, and the political difficulties which beset them. Our page on Carbon Footprints aims to help individuals to assess their own contribution  to the problem, and to look into ways in which they can reduce it. Our page on COP26 looks at the most important international meeting on the Climate Crisis in recent years, and links to different assessments of its outcome. Our pages on  Action through the Courts and Divestment (from investments in fossil fuels) detail just two of the ways in which individuals and organisations can pressure governments and fossil fuel companies to reduce carbon emissions.
