Nuneaton to be the first of six North Warwickshire towns to experience this new initiative
The Big Save roadshows are aimed at helping local residents to make little or no-cost changes to support the environment. Residents of Nuneaton will be the first of six North Warwickshire towns to experience this new initiative. The roadshows will cover topics such as saving energy, saving water, reducing food waste, recycling, repairing & reusing and active travel.
The roadshows are being organised by Warwickshire Climate Alliance and are funded by Warwickshire County Council’s Green Shoots Community Climate Change Fund, which supports a wide range of small, community-powered initiatives across Warwickshire to address the climate change emergency.
The first of these six Big Save events is on Saturday 23rd September in Nuneaton, from 11am - 3pm. It will be held at the United Reformed Church - 2 Chapel St, Nuneaton, CV11 5QH. It is free to attend and fully accessible to all. There will be lots of activities and cost-saving ideas from local community groups, including a pop-up repair café, free refreshments, family-friendly activities, music and entertainment, a children’s toy swap, free seeds and plants, and much more! Please do come along and learn simple actions that will make a difference to you, your family and the planet.
Volunteer help is needed for delivering leaflets on the afternoon of Sunday 17th September, and/or on the day itself (Saturday 23rd September). There are people travelling from Leamington, Warwick and Stratford, so lift shares will be possible. Please let us know if you can help out.
We hope to see you in Nuneaton on Saturday 23rd September!
